Grimmia bicolor (also called Two-colored Grimmia, among many other common names) is a species of moss belonging to the Grimmiaceae family. It is a small, yellow-green moss with a short, cylindrical capsule. It is native to North America, Europe, and Asia, and is found in moist, shady areas such as streams, rocks, and tree bases.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Grimmia bicolor has small, yellow-green flowers, and its seeds are tiny, dark brown and elliptical. The seedlings are small, with a single leaf that is lanceolate in shape.
