Description
Bucklandiella heterosticha (also called Heterostichous Bucklandiella, among many other common names) is a species of moss native to the Pacific Northwest of North America. It is a small, tufted plant with a yellow-green color and a glossy sheen. It grows in moist, shady habitats, such as in the understory of coniferous forests.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Bucklandiella heterosticha has small, white flowers with five petals and yellow anthers. The seeds are small, black and oval-shaped. The seedlings are small and have a single pair of leaves.
