Description

Madhuca butyrospermoides (also called 'Butter Tree', among many other common names) is a species of plant in the Sapotaceae family. It is native to the tropical rainforests of South and Southeast Asia. It is a large tree, growing up to 30 m tall. The leaves are up to 30 cm long and the flowers are white. The fruits are yellow and contain a yellowish-white pulp.
