Cultivation and Propagation

Cymbidium acuminatum is a species of terrestrial orchid native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas. It is a rhizomatous orchid, meaning that it has a horizontal underground stem from which the roots and leaves grow. Propagation is best done through division of the rhizomes. The plant should be divided when it is actively growing, either in the spring or summer. The divisions should be planted in a well-draining potting mix, and kept in a warm, humid environment. The plant should be kept moist but not wet, and should be fertilized regularly with a balanced fertilizer.

Where to Find Cymbidium acuminatum

Cymbidium acuminatum can be found in the Mediterranean region, from Morocco to Turkey.
