Description
Stachys graeca (also called Betony, Wood Betony, among many other common names) is a perennial plant with a rosette of leaves and a flowering stem. It is native to Europe, North Africa, and western Asia, and is found in grasslands, woodlands, and other habitats.
Cultivation and Propagation
Stachys graeca is a low-growing, clump-forming perennial with attractive, velvety, silver-green foliage and small, pink flowers in summer. It is easy to grow in average, well-drained soil and can tolerate some drought. Propagation is by division in spring or autumn.
