Description
Lithocarpus vidalianus (also called Vidalian Oak, among many other common names) is a species of evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia. It has an oblanceolate leaf shape, and grows to a height of up to 25 meters. It is found in lowland and montane forests, and prefers moist soils.

The leaves are alternate, 10–20 cm long, and 5–10 cm broad. The flowers are monoecious, produced in catkins. The fruit is a nut, 2–3 cm diameter, with a thick husk.
