Description

Cylindropuntia ramosissima (also called many-branched cholla, among many other common names) is a species of cactus native to the Sonoran Desert in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. It is a low-growing, sprawling cactus with cylindrical stems that can reach up to 10 feet (3.0 m) in length. It is found in dry, rocky, open areas, often in association with creosote bush and other desert shrubs.
