Description

Cylindropuntia californica (also called California Cholla, among many other common names) is a species of cactus in the family Cactaceae. It is native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico, and it typically grows in dry scrubland and deserts. It is a shrub, growing up to 3 m tall, with cylindrical stems and yellow flowers.
