Description

Helosis cayennensis (also called Cayenne helosis, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the southeastern United States. It has a basal rosette of leaves and produces a single stem with a terminal inflorescence. Its leaves are lanceolate to ovate in shape and its flowers are yellow in color. It grows in wet meadows, marshes, and other wetland habitats.
