Stereodon aemulans (also called 'Mimic' fern, among many other common names) is a species of fern native to tropical Africa, Madagascar, and the Mascarene Islands. It is an evergreen, terrestrial fern with a creeping rhizome and fronds that are bipinnate or tripinnate. It grows in moist, shady habitats such as forests and woodlands.
