Description
Psychotria rapensis (also called Rapa Wild Coffee, among many other common names) is a small, evergreen shrub that grows up to 3 m tall. Native to Central and South America, it is found in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests. It has small, dark green, glossy leaves and small, white flowers.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flower of Psychotria rapensis is white and has five petals, with a yellow center. The seed is small, round, and black. The seedlings have small, oval-shaped leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Psychotria rapensis can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a well-drained soil mix and kept moist until germination.
