Description
Psychotria cryptogrammata (also called 'Cryptic-tea', among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree that grows up to 8 m tall. It is native to tropical Africa, Madagascar, and the Mascarene Islands, and is found in humid forests, thickets, and along roadsides. It has simple, opposite leaves that are elliptic to oblong in shape, and white flowers with purple spots.

The flower of Psychotria cryptogrammata is small and white, with a yellow center. The seed is a small, black, oval-shaped seed. The seedlings are small and have a single, thin stem.
Cultivation and Propagation
Psychotria cryptogrammata can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a well-draining soil mix and kept moist. Cuttings should be taken from healthy, mature plants and rooted in a moist, well-draining soil mix. Both methods require bright, indirect light and temperatures of 70-80°F (21-27°C).
