Psychotria areolata (also called Areolate Psychotria, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Rubiaceae native to South America. It is found in montane forests and cloud forests at elevations of 1000–3000 m. It has a rosette of linear leaves with a red margin, and yellow flowers.
