Hordeum intermedium (also called Intermediate Barley, among many other common names) is a perennial grass species native to Europe and North Africa. It has a tufted habit and can reach up to 1 m in height. It prefers moist soils and can be found in meadows, pastures, and other grasslands.

Hordeum intermedium is used as a forage crop for livestock and as a soil stabilizer. It is also used in the production of beer and as an ornamental plant.
