Description
Gastrochilus xuanenensis (also called 'Xuanen Jewel Orchid', among many other common names) is a small epiphytic orchid found in China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. It has a single, fleshy, ovate leaf and a single flower with a white or yellowish-green labellum. It grows in humid forests, usually on the branches of trees.

Gastrochilus xuanenensis has white, bell-shaped flowers with yellow centers and small, black seeds. The seedlings are small and have a single stem with two leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Gastrochilus xuanenensis is a terrestrial orchid native to Southeast Asia. It can be propagated through division of the rhizome or by seed. It prefers a well-drained soil and bright, indirect light. It should be watered regularly, but not allowed to become soggy. Fertilize monthly during the growing season.
