Dissotis elegans (also called Elegant False Mallow, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to tropical Africa and Madagascar. It grows in moist, shady places and can reach a height of up to 1 meter.

Dissotis elegans is a fast-growing, evergreen perennial that can reach a height of up to 1.5m. It prefers a moist, well-drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded position. Propagation is by seed or cuttings in spring or summer.
Where to Find Dissotis elegans
Dissotis elegans is native to tropical Africa, including Angola, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Togo, and Zaire. It is also found in tropical Asia, including India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
