Description
Utricularia salwinensis (also called Salween bladderwort, among many other common names) is a small, perennial, aquatic carnivorous plant native to the Salween River in China. It has small, yellowish-green flowers and small, bladder-like traps. It grows in shallow, slow-moving streams and marshes.
Cultivation and Propagation
Utricularia salwinensis is a fast-growing evergreen shrub. It can be propagated by division of the rootball in spring or early summer. It can also be propagated from seed, which should be sown in a cold frame in spring. Cuttings of half-ripe wood can be taken in summer.
