It is native to tropical regions of the world, including Africa, India, and Southeast Asia, and prefers shallow, still water habitats such as ponds, marshes, and slow-moving streams.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flowers of Utricularia kumaonensis are small and white, with five petals. Its seeds are tiny and black, and its seedlings are small and delicate.
Cultivation and Propagation
Utricularia kumaonensis is a perennial aquatic plant that is best grown in moist, well-drained soil. It can be propagated by division or by seed. It is best to sow the seeds in a moist, sterile soil mix and keep the soil moist until germination occurs. Once the seedlings have emerged, they should be transplanted into individual containers and given plenty of light and water.
