Description

Asterohyptis mociniana (also called Mocin Palm, among many other common names) is a species of palm tree native to the Venezuelan Andes. It is a medium-sized palm with a single trunk and a crown of pinnate leaves. It is found in humid montane forests, often near streams, at elevations of 500-2,000 m.
