Hymenophyllum dependens (also called Dependent Filmy Fern, among many other common names) is a fern species in the family Hymenophyllaceae. It is native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas, Africa, and Asia, and is found in moist forests, thickets, and along streams. It has a creeping rhizome and long-stalked, bipinnate fronds.
