Description
Gentiana fremontii (also called Fremont's Gentian, among many other common names) is an herbaceous perennial plant native to China, Japan, and Korea. It grows in meadows, grasslands, and woodland margins. It has a basal rosette of lance-shaped leaves and bears clusters of star-shaped, bright blue flowers.

Gentiana fremontii is a perennial plant that can be propagated by division in the spring. It prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. It is drought tolerant once established and can be grown in USDA zones 4-9.
