Description

Gahnia clarkei (also called Clarke's Saw-sedge, among many other common names) is a perennial grass-like plant native to Australia and New Zealand. It has a thick, black sheath at the base of the stem and its leaves are narrow and flat. It is found in wet areas such as swamps, marshes and along the edges of streams and rivers.
