Description

Cyperus metallorum (also called Metallic flatsedge, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to tropical Africa and Asia. It is found in moist habitats such as swamps, marshes, and along stream banks. It has a creeping rhizome and its stems are erect and up to 1 m tall. Its leaves are linear and up to 40 cm long. Its inflorescence is a compound umbel with yellow flowers.
