Description
Cyathea vitiensis (also called Cyathea vitiensis, among many other common names) is a species of tree fern native to Fiji. It has a tall, slender trunk, up to 10 feet (3 m) tall, with large, dark green fronds. It grows in moist, shady forests.

Cyathea vitiensis is used for making baskets and mats, as well as for thatching and roofing material. It also has medicinal uses, such as treating skin diseases, wounds, and ulcers.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Cyathea vitiensis has yellow flowers with a diameter of about 1 cm. The seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings are small, green and have a single stem.
