Description
Onoseris lopezii (also called Lopez's onoseris, among many other common names) is an erect annual herb that grows up to 30 cm tall. It has a hairy stem and small, oval-shaped leaves. It is native to South America and is found in dry meadows, grasslands, and along roadsides.
Uses & Benefits

Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flower of Onoseris lopezii is a yellow-orange daisy-like flower with a yellow center. Its seeds are small and black, and its seedlings are small and thin with a single stem and two small leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Onoseris lopezii can be propagated by seed or by division of the rootstock. Seeds should be sown in spring or autumn in a cold frame. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and grow them on in the greenhouse for their first winter. Plant them out into their permanent positions in late spring or early summer, after the last expected frosts. Division in spring. Larger divisions can be planted out direct into their permanent positions, though it is best to pot up the smaller divisions and grow them on in a cold frame until they are established.
