Description

Cremanthodium ellisii (also called Ellis' Coneflower, among many other common names) is an annual herb native to the western United States and northern Mexico. It grows in dry, open areas such as grasslands, deserts, and scrublands. It has a single, unbranched stem with a single flower head at the top. The flower head is composed of yellow, tubular florets and is surrounded by several layers of white, ray-like florets.
