Eugeissona tristis (also called 'Bastard Tamarind', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Myrtaceae. It is a small tree or shrub with a rounded crown, growing up to 6 m tall. It is native to tropical Africa and Asia, and is found in humid forests and thickets.
