Description

Copernicia rigida (also called Rigid Wax Palm, among many other common names) is a tall, solitary palm tree that can reach heights of up to 30 meters. It is native to South America and can be found in tropical rainforests, cloud forests, and dry forests. It has long, stiff leaves that are green to yellow-green in color and are arranged in a fan-like pattern.

Copernicia rigida is used as an ornamental plant, for landscaping, and in traditional medicine for treating fever, headache, and rheumatism.
