Description

Copernicia curtissii (also called Carnauba wax palm, among many other common names) is a species of palm tree native to northeastern Brazil. It is a fan palm, with the leaves having a long petiole terminating in a rounded fan of numerous leaflets. It grows in open areas in woodland and savanna, and is the primary source of carnauba wax.
