Description
Copernicia cowellii (also called Cowell's Copernicia, among many other common names) is a species of palm native to the Caribbean. It is a medium-sized palm with a single trunk and long, thin leaves. It is found in humid forests in the Caribbean islands. It grows in the understory of the forest, on trees and rocks.

Copernicia cowellii is used for making wax, fuel, and as a source of fiber for making rope and paper.
