Description
Gonolobus hystrix (also called Porcupine Milkweed, among many other common names) is a perennial herb native to Mexico and Central America. It has a woody stem, and grows up to 1 m tall. Its leaves are simple, alternate, and lanceolate in shape, and its flowers are small, yellow, and fragrant. It is found in tropical and subtropical dry and moist forests.

Gonolobus hystrix has white to pale pink flowers with a yellow throat. The seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings are small, dark green and oval-shaped.
