Amsonia tomentosa (also called Woolly Blue Star, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Apocynaceae. It is a perennial herb or subshrub, growing up to 1 m tall. It is native to the southeastern United States, and is found in a variety of habitats, including dry and moist forests, woodlands, and scrublands.
