We provide high-quality Tanzania coconut oil to the local and export markets. We source the raw materials for processing Tanzania coconut oil from family growers in the country.

Tanzania coconut oil is the primary export product of the hulls of the coconut tree from the coast of the country. Tanzania ranks as the biggest producer of the crop in Africa with a yearly output of 530,000 tons. The area under cultivation (using 2013 figures) was 265,000 hectares. The acreage rate has been increasing by 10 percent margin since that date.  The extraction of oil from the hulls takes place after cracking open the shell and then processing the copra via an expeller press.

The use of coconut oil is essential for lowering cholesterol. There is around 68% of oil content in the copra, with a healthy fat composition. Though the fat is highly saturated, it is different from other sources in that it has healthy cells that promote HDL or good cholesterol. It can, therefore, be a good remedy for heart disease. Its external use includes improving the sheen of the skin and the hair.

We source Tanzania coconut oil raw materials from family growers along the 800-kilometer coastline stretch. We also have suppliers from Pemba and Zanzibar. Our sources usually own between 0.5 and 1 hectares of land. They tend after the trees using farmyard manure and abstain from excessive use of chemical sprays.

We harvest coconut husks by using ladders to reach the far-set fruits. Our experienced workers then drop the shells snugly into the waiting baskets. After shelling the fruits to remove the husks, the exposed copra or meat then goes to the processing point for oil extraction.

The extraction of Tanzania coconut oil begins with the shredding of the copra. We use shredding tools to cut the meat into slices that measure just ¼ of an inch long. We move the cut segments into a drying agent that evaporates the moisture content.  The peel from the copra goes into an airtight container for preservation as it is nutritious.

We use a cold press, expeller press or crude mechanical expeller to extract Tanzania coconut oil. The expeller machine rotates the pieces that we pour into it. As the screws rotate, they crush and squeeze the juice from the meat. The turning session goes on repetitively until all the liquid oozes out. We keep adding new shredded bits to the set up as the immediate pieces are expelled.

For the mechanical press, we use the same method as the above process only that the filtration agent is a cloth. The sanitized cloth harnesses any solid matter. Each twist of the cloth lets the juice pass through in clarified crude form. The collected ‘milk’ is borne on jars or beakers ready for cooling. It is usually more virgin than that of a solvent filter as it has no additive.

We pack Tanzania coconut oil in PET or plastic bottles in readiness for shipping. Our alternative film-lined packets are also environmentally-friendly, besides being portable.  We provide basic measures of 250 ml, 500 ml, and 1 l sizes. We feature about ten such bottles in each package that can weigh around 10 liters in all. We insert product labels that show a best-by date of 9 months, the 100 percent ingredients and the packing country.

We keep the Tanzania coconut oil at the temperature range of 21 to 24 degrees Celsius. This equals the melting point of the product. We strictly maintain this range so that the oil stays in-between a liquid and a solid.

We maintain the controlled temperature during the delivery of the package to the airport in Arusha or Dar-es-Salaam. This means that the cargo will reach your city in a day or two after dispatch.

Therefore, if you are after Tanzania coconut oil from the land that has the biggest coconut plantations in Africa, then you have our supplies to count on. We only deal with family growers who cultivate their trees under Global Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) conditions. You can expect quantity parameters that echo your stipulated volume as we always ensure there is a surplus.  We offer very affordable prices that match your budget. This is why you should make an order today!
