We provide high-quality Rwanda orange juice to the local and export markets. We source the raw fresh processed Rwanda orange juice from family growers in the country.

Rwanda orange juice is one of the many processed by-products of the most cultivated citrus fruit. The other products include concentrate, peel oil, pulp puree and others. These are major sources of ascorbic acid, a compound that complements immunity-giving vitamin C. The fruit’s bright color when ripe gives it a high vitamin A content which also transfers into the juice. There is also dietary fiber, potassium and flavonoids. The last are bioactive nutrients that help fight lifestyle diseases. The pulp puree and peel oil also offer lush magnesium for strong bones. The main production method for all of these is cold pressing.

We source the raw materials for Rwanda orange juice in Kicukiro district inside Kigali Province, among other parts of the country. All our produce comes from family growers with less than 2 acres of land. This small orchard makes it possible to manage organically without chemical sprays. Our farmers also maintain farmyard manure as soil enrichment.

We harvest Rwanda oranges for juice production when the fruit has passed six months or 8 months from the date of planting. We ensure that the fruits have turned yellow unlike when they are needed green for table fruit exports. Our farmhands use garden scissors to cut the fruits at the base with the handling stalks intact. We look for berries that are plump and are just beginning to soften. We transfer these to the sorting point before processing.

We process Rwanda orange juice through a cold press. There are three by-products including clear juice, concentrate/puree and oil. For each one of these, we kick off by peeling and then slicing the fruits. We then crush the sliced pieces under an extractor screw. Its rotation squeezes juices from the pulp which oozes down into a waiting beaker. The puree production method requires a relaxed screw adjustment so that the resulting liquid syrup will have 50 or 60 percent of solids in it.

The puree is quite healthy to take as it has wholesome vitamin C. This is why it is common to find in canned food as a preservative. It also features in dessert that is packaged.

We also make concentrates from Rwanda orange juice. Essentially a refined form of the puree, it has more ingredients. It features oil from the skin, clear juice from the pulp and the crude puree. It does not have additives but water is part of it to retain its juicy concentration.

We also have Rwanda orange oil that is an extract of the peel. It has pectin, a compound that is the main source of the oil. We begin the process by crushing the peeled skin of the fruit. We then dry the peel. This is followed by cold pressing the oil from the dried peel. We then put the peel through a hydraulic extractor which allows the oil to collect in the waiting beaker.

You can use the orange oil to marinate cereals. It also acts as a great ingredient for spice preservation. It makes a good preservative for bread and bakery products. Its other uses include making sauce for inclusion in herbal tea.

We pack Rwanda orange juice and other by-products in various containers including PET bottles, tin cans and plastic containers. We feature basic weight measure of 250 milliliters and a maximum of 1 liter. We put a dozen of these bottles in film-lined pouches that are part of the enclosing cartons.  We feature the appropriate product labels including the name of the product, the net weight, the packing date, the 100 percent natural ingredients, the expiry date and the country of origin.

We store Rwanda orange juice in stopper-fitted bottles in our cold rooms away from light. We keep an average temperature of less than 5 degrees Celsius which keeps the natural composition of the vital ascorbic acid. We transport the content to Kigali International Airport on the same date of packing. This means that the package will reach its destination in the next 1 to 2 days.

In short, if you are in search of the best range of orange-based processed products, then our Rwanda orange juice is a must-have. You can request for anything from juice to puree, oil to concentrate. Because all our fruits grow under Global Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)-certified conditions, you can expect fresh quality. Our processing follows strict phytosanitary conditions under the supervision of the Rwanda Standards Board (RSB). Make an order today!
