We provide high-quality Tanzania tulips to the local and export markets. We source the fresh raw cut Tanzania tulips from family growers in the country.

Tanzania tulips are bulb-sprouting large flowers that people grow for both their bulbs and decorative purposes. The tulip plantation is one of the most breathtaking in any flower field. This is because the blossoms keep the landscape awash in a solid red that contrasts with the tight green of the foliage. The bud’s cup shape is also iconic as it has a perfect bright-colored petal formation. The most common colors for the plants include red, yellow and white.

Tanzania grows mainly the Tulipa x L. subspecies now in large-scale. Its cultivation went into commercial scope in 1986 when the flower business had just begun to flourish in the country. Their main export destinations include the Middle-east and Europe.

We source Tanzania tulips from the northern regions particularly the Serengeti environs, Moshi and Arusha. Here, the farmers grow the lily-family crop next to orchids in small-scale plantations. We only make contracts with family growers with less than 2 acres of land under the cultivation of the flower. Our sources maintain their fields with farmyard manure and reduce the use of chemical sprays.

We usually harvest the produce at early dawn when the sun is yet to come out. We pick Tanzania tulips by grasping the flowers by the sheath and cutting them just above the lowest foliage. We incise the stems in a slanted manner to allow the flowers to suck in water from the pots where they are dipped immediately after harvesting. We leave ground-level foliage and the bulb behind to promote the next season’s harvest. Our workers also remove any hindering foliage from the flowers after cutting them.

We immediately wrap each stem in a soft wax paper that preserves it against bending. The entire wrapped 2/3rds of the flower also offers protection against breakage. We dip the stalks into the water immediately after harvesting so that they can stay cool. We then take the produce to the packinghouse for sorting and grading in hampers or vase-like baskets.

We sort Tanzania tulips by size and color. We select stems that have intense color, are straight and do not show any sign of wilting. We cull any discolored flower from the main selections. We also keep similar-colored stems in the same basket though they can be mixed depending on the client’s request.

We pack Tanzania tulips in horizontal fiberboard boxes that store the flowers in a straight format inside. Alternatively, we use hampers which are vase-style baskets that also help to display the blooms. We separate each bunch from the rest by the use of soft wax paper. We touch off the packing process with designate labels including the name of the flower, the number of stems/net weight and the source of the produce.

We store Tanzania tulips at 0 degrees Celsius away from contamination, in a cool, dry environment. We also transport the produce by our special trucks on the same day of packing. You can expect the dispatch from Dar-es-Salaam 24 to 48 hours from the dispatch date.

We are therefore your first choice for the freshest quality Tanzania tulip. We obtain the shipments from Global Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)-certified locales in the country. We also handle the produce in a phytosanitary manner, including the use of sterilized razors to cut the stems. We also provide the cut blooms in ample quantities that reflect the same volume as you will have requested. Concerning price, we offer the lowest rates that match your budget.
