In summary: in 2023, Polish farmers expect to pay a price not that much different from 2022’s high prices for such seeds as grain, sugar beet and services such as manure removal.
This year’s price lists for agricultural services, after last year’s increases, have not changed much and are settling at similar price levels to the second half of last year.
Last year, due to dynamic increases in fuel prices, was marked by a significant increase in service prices. Currently, these levels have stabilized to some extent, but unfortunately at quite high levels.
For the service of disking, we will now usually pay from 200 to 250 zlotys per hectare (up to US$58.50/ha),while plowing at the moment costs from 300 to even more than 400 zlotys/ha (up to US$93.61/ha).
For rapeseed or grain sowing services with a passive aggregate, we will pay between 250 and 300 zlotys/ha (from US$58.50/ha) at the moment, while for strip-till sowing we will pay 500-600 zlotys/ha.
In the case of sowing Polish sugar beet, the cost of sowing a hectare varies between 180 and 240 zlotys, depending on the region of the country and the availability of the service. Prices for sowing corn are at similar levels, as they range from 160 to 250 zlotys per hectare of work done.
As for manure removal, the rates for a ton of manure removed with loading are usually at the level of 15 to 20 PLN, although if the heap is located at a considerable distance from the field, then higher costs should be expected.
One of the more popular spring services is also the reseeding of meadows and pastures, for which one currently pays from 200 to even more than 300 PLN per hectare, depending on the region of the country and the availability of service providers.
