Zingiber flavescens (also called 'Yellow Ginger' and 'Yellow Ginger Tree', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Zingiberaceae. It is a deciduous shrub or small tree, typically growing to a height of 5–10 m. It is native to tropical Africa and is found in dry woodland and savanna habitats.
