Description
Zingiber coloratum (also called Coloured Ginger, among many other common names) is a herbaceous perennial that can grow up to 1m tall. It is native to India and is found in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests. It has a rhizomatous root system and its leaves are lanceolate in shape and have a glossy green colour. Its flowers are yellow-orange in colour.
