Viola papuana (also called Papuan Violet, among many other common names) is a species of plant in the Violaceae family. It is a perennial herb, growing up to 30 cm in height. It is native to the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia, from Myanmar to the Philippines and Indonesia. It grows in lowland and hill dipterocarp forests, up to an altitude of 900 m.
