Cultivation and Propagation
Aloysia barbata is a fast-growing shrub that can reach up to 4 m in height. It is best grown in full sun and well-drained soil. Propagation is usually done by cuttings or layering. Cuttings should be taken in the spring or summer and should be placed in a moist, well-drained soil mix. Layering can be done by burying a branch of the plant in the soil and allowing it to root. Once the roots have formed, the branch can be cut off and transplanted.
