Description
Pilea subamplexicaulis (also called Subamplexicaul Pilea, or Pilea subamplexicaulis, among many other common names) is a small, evergreen, perennial herbaceous plant native to South America. It has small, oval-shaped, bright green leaves with a silvery sheen, and it grows in a low, spreading mound. It is typically found in tropical and subtropical areas, in moist, shady habitats.

Pilea subamplexicaulis has small, white flowers that are clustered together in the leaf axils. The seeds are small, black, and round. The seedlings have long, narrow, pointed cotyledons.
