Description

Dendrocnide nervosa (also called Nerve Stinging Tree, among many other common names) is a species of stinging tree native to Australia and New Guinea. It is a small to medium-sized tree, growing up to 15 m tall. Its leaves are ovate to lanceolate, 5–15 cm long and 2–7 cm broad, with a serrated margin. It is found in rainforest and wet sclerophyll forest habitats.
