Daphne macrantha (also called Large-flowered Daphne, among many other common names) is an evergreen shrub that grows up to 4 m tall. It is native to the Himalayas and is found in open forests, scrub, and grasslands. It has leathery, glossy green leaves and fragrant pink or white flowers.

Daphne macrantha is native to China and can be found in deciduous forests and scrublands in the provinces of Anhui, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Sichuan, and Zhejiang.
