Tamarix angolensis (also called Tamarisk, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree that can grow up to 6 m tall. It is native to the Mediterranean region, Central Asia and the Middle East, and is commonly found in salt-rich soils, coastal areas, and near rivers and streams.
