Symplocos zizyphoides (also called Zizyphus Symplocos, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree that is native to the southeastern United States. It typically grows up to 15 feet tall and has smooth, gray bark. It is found in moist woods, along streams, and in wetland areas.
