Sphagnum itabense (also called the 'Itabense Sphagnum Moss', among many other common names) is a small, tufted moss with leaves that are ovate to oblong-lanceolate, and have a single, sharp point at the tip. It is native to North America, and is found in moist, shady habitats.

Sphagnum itabense is used as a soil stabilizer, for water purification, and as an ornamental plant in aquariums.
