Solanum pyracanthos (also called 'Prickly Nightshade', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the nightshade family. It is native to South America, and is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. It prefers dry, sandy soils in open areas, and is often found in grasslands and scrublands.
