Description

Solanum caldense (also called Caldas nightshade, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to South America. It has a shrubby habit and can reach up to 1.5 meters in height. It has yellow flowers and its fruits are small, round and green. It grows in tropical and subtropical climates in open areas, such as grasslands and forest edges.

Solanum caldense is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a hedge plant. It is also used in traditional medicine for its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.
