Homalolepis ferruginea (also called 'Rusty Water-willow', among many other common names) is a perennial shrub native to the southeastern United States. It grows in wet areas such as swamps, marshes, and along the banks of streams and rivers. It has small, yellow flowers with four petals and a yellow center. The leaves are long and narrow, and the stems are covered in small hairs.
