Thesium equisetoides (also called Horse-tail Thesium, among many other common names) is a small, perennial herb that grows up to 15 cm tall. It has a woody rootstock and its leaves are simple, alternate, and linear-lanceolate. It is native to the Mediterranean region and is found in dry grasslands, rocky slopes, and open woodlands.
